Our Vision

Is to create a future for Santa Barbara’s South Coast filled with diverse, vibrant, and sustainable communities where moderate and middle-income households can afford to live in the same city where they work and children that grow up here can afford to flourish in and contribute to their community.

Our Mission

to unite a broad coalition of housing advocates in the private and public sectors to advance local policies that increase housing availability for moderate and middle-income households on the South Coast. We measure success by the impact of our annual policy goals and the number of homes produced as a result.

Annual Housing Conference

At the Coastal Housing Coalition’s Annual Santa Barbara Housing Conference, we unite leaders, experts, and community members to tackle the region’s housing challenges. Each year, we foster meaningful dialogue, share insights, and collaborate on real solutions that shape Santa Barbara’s housing future. It’s more than a conference. It’s a catalyst for connection and change. Together, we work toward sustainable, inclusive solutions that benefit the entire region.

Voice for Housing

At the Coastal Housing Coalition, we support moderate- and middle-income professionals on the South Coast by standing with them on critical housing issues. We speak up at council meetings, submitting letters and sharing public comments at hearings to make sure their voices are heard. And we support our community by keeping people informed about housing developments and solutions that directly impact their lives.

Housing Advocacy

At the Coastal Housing Coalition, we champion housing policy advocacy on the South Coast to make sure progress never stalls. We realize how critical it is to keep solutions moving forward for our region’s middle-income professionals and workforce. By engaging directly with decision-makers and our community, we champion smart housing policies and we realize the impact these efforts have on the future of Santa Barbara.
