Workshop Series Overview
The majority of the South Coast workforce continues to struggle to find adequate housing that is affordable and reasonably near their place of work. In fact, since 1980 the affordability gap has widened and is significantly greater in Santa Barbara than in the rest of the state or nation.
Recent State and local housing policies have begun providing the opportunity to address our housing issues, however additional education, effort, and teamwork are needed. The 2021 Santa Barbara Housing Conference Virtual Workshop Series builds from the years of community education to ensure continual discussion and ongoing problem solving to help correct our housing crisis.
